Mansion House Motel

History

The Mansion House Inn (Bed & Breakfast) and The Mansion House Motel are separate properties. The Mansion House Inn is now a private residence and will no longer be of service. We hope you consider staying in our motel next door. We apologize for any disappointment and confusion this may cause.
The 1950 Mansion Motel was renovated from an ice house to a motel, to add to the number of rooms at the Mansion House Inn next door. The rooms were very modern, and the pastel-colored tiling in the bathrooms was very popular in the 1950s. The motel has kept its 1950's charm, with most of the rooms retaining the original vintage tile and chrome accents, making them fun and different.

The motel offers rooms with king, queen, or two queen beds. Most motel rooms have been redecorated recently with new bedding and art to match their theme. All the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Each room has a sitting area just outside the door so you can enjoy the cool Wyoming evenings. Rooms are equipped with a table and two chairs, a microwave and refrigerator, and a coffee maker with coffee and tea provided. The Mansion Motel is located just 2 blocks north of Buffalo's downtown.

Buffalo has a unique historic western flavor. You can easily walk to the county museum, library, visitor center, restaurants, bars, and local shops. Buffalo offers many well-maintained trails along Clear Creek for hiking/biking and one of these trails is located just one block behind the property. Enjoy the picnic area, playground, or city pool along Clear Creek in the city park. A 10-minute drive west takes you into the heart of the Big Horn Mountains, where you can enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing. If you are a Longmire fan, you will be happy to know that Buffalo was the inspiration for Craig Johnson’s series and the mythical town of Durant. Cast members visit Buffalo most summers. We hope you enjoy your stay in Buffalo!
